Graham Sisson, Executive Director of the
Governor's Office on Disability, presented
Mrs. Jerry Delk a Certificate of Recognition
signed by Governor Robert Bentley on
February 12, 2015. The certificate read
"Mrs. Delk has been a long-time
consumer of GOOD and an outstanding
advocate for persons with mental illness
in Alabama."

Chris Rodgers was instrumental in working
with Weaver Mayor Wayne Willis to add
the platform swing to the city's new play-
ground.

GOOD, presents Shannon Hartman with
a weather radio provided by the
Alabama Department of Public Health.
The radio was given as a door prize at
the March 10, 2015 GOOD VR Consumer
Advisory Council Meeting. Shannon
Hartman is deaf so she later received a
strobe light attachment for the radio.

The radio was given as a door prize at
the May 1, 2015 Tuscaloosa GOOD VR
Consumer Advisory Council Meeting.
Kathy is a consumer member of the
council.

Department of Public Health. The
radio was given as a door prize at
the May 05, 2015 Mobile VR GOOD
Consumer Advisory Council Meeting.
Ms. Bull is deaf and was thrilled to
receive the radio since Alabama has
had several devastating tornadoes over
the past few years.

radio provided by the Alabama Department
of Public Health at the Birmingham GOOD VR
Consumer Advisory Council meeting held
May 20, 2015. Ms. Moore is the parent of a child
with a disability and a member of the Consumer
Advisory Council.

Darmita Flood, at the Mobile GOOD VR
Consumer Advisory Council held on September 23, 2015,
with the Emergency Preparedness Back Pack door prize
provided by the Alabama Department of Public Health.
Ms. Flood is an Administrative Assistant for the Mobile Center
for Independent Living.
On December 10, 2015, Graham Sisson
presented Vernita Garriott, a member of the
Tuscaloosa GOOD VR Consumer Advisory
Council, the weather radio door prize. Ms.
Garriott has a foster child who is also blind
and she said their weather radio had just
broken and they did not have the money to
replace it. She was delighted to win the prize.
GOOD would like to thank Laurie Eldridge
Auffant with the Alabama Department of Public
Health for providing the door prizes.
On November 23, 2015, Graham Sisson
presented Ree Clark, a member of the
Montgomery GOOD VR Consumer Advisory
Council with the weather radio door prize
provided by the Alabama Department
of Public Health.
On March 15, 2016, Marlene Word presented
Beverly Peters, a member of the Muscle Shoals
GOOD VR Consumer Advisory Council, with a
weather radio door prize provided by the
Alabama Department of Public Health.
